Paul Watson wrote: Britian is still paying off it's war debt to the US. Will only finish in 2006. Amazing. The amazing thing is that it is still trying. Last I heard, the rest have reneged entirely, or were forgiven their debts to the US to prevent their national economies from going into the dumpster. Kudos to Britain for being an honorable nation. Road Rage: Here in SA road rage was a problem the last few years. A few short blocks from me last year a guy got out of his car, grabbed his hockey stick (field hockey.) He walked to the car in front of him, smashed the drivers window, dragged the driver out of his car and beat him to death. Right there in the road, in front of the guys family, in front of HIS family, in front of thousands of stuck motorists. He said he just saw red and did not remember a single thing about it. Apparently the guy in front was a bit slow in taking up the slack from the cars in front. Shocking stuff. Cyclists are often targets of road rage because frustrated motorists see them zipping past and get pissed off. Many a car door has been opened at just the right/wrong moment. Trollslayer wrote: Its getting so if an athlete takes something for a cold their career can be ruined Good. These are professionals. They are people who dedicate every waking moment to their career. Any athlete must check out even the simplest of medicine with their team doctor. Any athlete who does not do that is putting themselves at risk and doing so stupidly. As you said these things can ruin their career. So checking with your sports doctor is not such a big onerous thing to do. I do not know if you followed the Warne case but the guy said his mum made him take the medicine. Come off it. If my mum told me to use Linux and not Windows because her doctor recommends it, you think I would? I would thank her, carry on respecting and loving her and carry on with Windows. Warne was covering something else up. All athletics boards must be very strict with these cases. These professionals will do anything to get ahead, and covering up something more serious, like Nandralone, with a diuretic is well within their want. Trollslayer wrote: Fotrunately in a few cases the coach had the sense to keep the containers for all the medicine taken by the athlete. Without that they would have been found guilty. And the athletics board accepted that? HAH! What a joke. I can go down to the chemist and concoct 20 bottles of such and such a medicine to prove that I "inadvertantly" took something I shouldnt. Please. They are professionals, anything that passes their lips must be checked. But as you pointed out common computer tasks are poorly implemented and provided for. Computing is still in it's infancy in this regard and has literally decades to go before it gets anywhere near the level that will make it what we envisage. Computers are not intuitive at present. Your software is based on the poor systems and so cannot do much to counteract that. Pardoning your ignorance, dumb ass, but this is fantastic example of how not to be persuasive. If you don't like the USA, that's fine. But at least try to sound intelligent and informed. You may want to use full sentences to clearly state your points, back up your position with an example or two, or try not to quote words when you actually using them as they are intended to be used. I'd love to able to laugh at you, but unfortunately you didn't have the balls to use your real name.
