How was he supposed to know the killer was going to use the knife for something other than spreading butter on bread? No, it's more like blaming the clerk at the sports store because a strange and obviously unbalanced individual bought a rifle and blew away his neighbours the next day. Well, the only thing I learnt from taking statistics at A Level was that their very act of selecting who they question means that their survey results will be utterly skewed and useless, so I usually point this out. -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

My cam's 2mpix, I think (1600x1200 is it's max res) I got myself a 256mb CF card (only £60!) so now take everything at that resolution (the card can hold a couple of hundred pics) - I figure that it's better to have all the pics in a higher res than you need, than use a low res and really regret not having a high res version if you realise you want one (like getting prints made) Megan Forbes wrote: It's actually built into the camera Sounds cool, though it means my dilemma is still unsolved :( I know the camera can see IR light, through experimentation with pointing remote controlls at it, so it should be possible to get really good nighttime shots with a good IR lightsource (even if I have to manually gamma correct the images once they reach the computer) -- Help me! But if you are going to pay extra, surely you are making up for that? If not, they should bring out a premium rate where you do cover this and don't have to watch adverts. I'm not a huge TV watcher at the best of times anyway, but we got cable free with our broadband. My husband watches every evening while I am on CP, studying, etc, and the ad's really drive me crazy. No one ever commented on it, but anytime there was a question about our work, or an important memo intended for one of us, it came to my desk. Gradually my phone extension was passed around as the contact number for us, and when new contracts came up for discussion it was my phone that rang to ask for "someone" to represent us. That would be me, of course. All else followed a natural course.:-D "How many times do I have to flush before you go away?" - Megan Forbes, on Management (12/5/2002)

My seven year old sone refuses to STOP beleiving in Santa even through we told him he wants real. Basically if NORAD can show him being tracked and you can see him packing presents over the Internet, send him emails and get replies why shouldnt he beleive in him. For that matter why shouldnt I. Maybe he doenst deliver the presents but that doesnt mean he doesnt exist. Thinking about it, Santa does exist, there are loads of Santas, from kids stores to garden centers. Ok, I'm converted, I beleive in Santa.
