You've fallen for the anti bob-dole potatoe pit-trap with the subject line (Potato is singular, no e, Potatoes is plural, with an e) ;P Good joke, btw :) -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

David Wulff wrote: Is a useful programme even if it does have Nicky "two l's" Cambell hosting it. Does it? Shows how long its been since I've seen it. That's even more reason not to watch it. :-D I would agree that it could serve a purpose, but I think it fails on so many levels. On the occasions I have seen Watchdog, at least 40% is pointless and at least 50% is just plain lies and anti-corporate propoganda. David Wulff wrote: A brilliant piece of entertainment because unlike so many soaps nowadays the characters have personality. The only soap (in the common British term) I really pay much attention to is Emmerdale because it's so ridiculous. Once it stopped taking itself seriously (some five years ago) it became very watchable. Eastenders is little mor than people walking around crying about something (although I will admit to amusement at the new Sonya-with-attitude). David Wulff wrote: If the beeb put on a crime double - watch it. I have yet to be disapointed. Saw the first one (I think), the one with Clive Owen in. I was certainly disappointed, decided not to bother again. Brilliant advertising though, it looked half interesting. David Wulff wrote: Why would you like him? His show is funny. Granted I didn't like his outing on Channel 4 but this one (from the two programmes I have seen) seems to be really quite good. At elast it is better than Patrick bloody Kealty (sp) which has gone downhill a lot this series. I might give it a try next week. If I'm really bored after Millennium ;) David Wulff wrote: Because the majority of your fuding goes on new talent and one off productions like The Blue Planet, Space, Walking With Dinos, Walking With Beasts, Band of Brothers, and tens and tens more programmes of that calibre that are unmatched by even the film studios in some cases No, no, no! I don't want to pay for that. Space was really weak after showing a lot of promise; like Kennedy Space Center, I expected it to be aimed at people with some level of interest in space, rather than at dumbasses ;) Walking With Dinosaurs was the most overhyped British program in years. I mean really, teaching theory as facts annoys me at the best of times but 15 minutes about Diplodocus shit? Was that really necessary? If this is the great justification for my TV license I want it back now. Turn BBC back on when you've made some

Seriously, if you want a good deal, check out Jessops near Cannon St station - we got a Sony digital cam there for £100 cheaper than anywhere else, and £500 cheaper than one place we saw the same model. HTH :) The following statement about your geekness is true. The previous statement about your geekness is false.

Paul Watson wrote: Why not just ask him if he wants this? My problem with NLP is the victims of it who in no way asked for it. I am so sorry that I told you about NLP, and especially in the context of fast seduction. I think that you are a very kind and caring person, and NLP is the antithesis of what those values represent. I know that you have brought up NLP a few times since my infamous NLP/fast seduction post. I regret even posting about it because I know many will now try this technique on unsuspecting women. The level of sorrow I have for informing CPians of this Jedi-mind trickery is quite large because I know many will try it on women. I wish I had kept my big mouth shut about NLP, but the genie is out of the bottle so I can't. I want you to know that I have dis-avowed this technique completely, and for the past few months I have not used it once. I understand that you probably think of me as a horrible person for resorting to this pychology technique and for telling CPians about it. I don't use NLP anymore and am hoping that no CPian will use it either, because I shouldn't have said anything about this horrible technique. I want to say I'm sorry to anyone who has been offended by my NLP posts. I also hope that people will recognize that I dislike the fact that I've promoted NLP to get women, and that they will forgive me.

But, you can only tell some much over the Internet ya know. I actually don't have OCD. My post was a link to a poll about circumcision. I was surprised to see that so many people are not circumcising their newborns. It just goes to show that if you inform people, that they are much smarter then the media lets on. I spend a couple of minutes a day discussing this issue whenever I talk to friends who are thinking about having childern. This is a serious issue and it makes me happy that so many people are turning away from this barbaric pratice. I usually tell skeptics to view this video, and it usually changes their minds. http://www.intact.ca/video.html

Unfortunately, Ad-Aware compounded the problem. It successfully removed the registry keys and most of the files, but marketscore installed a proxy dll in tcp/ip that ad-aware could not remove. I had to: Sign up for marketscore. Let it take over my system. Run the secret uninstall program. Reboot. Marketscore sure is a group of bastards. -- If it starts to make sense, you're in a cult.

I think, given the circumstances, it's the best policy. We're also attacking Saddam though, for all the evil things he has continued to do since coming into power, particuarly since the Gulf War. I think the pre-emptive thing is just to stop a lot of people trying to jusifty hitting somebody because you're scared. And who isn't scared of Saddam? There were loads of anti-war protesters outside one of my uni buildings today. I was tempted to have an argument. Like the time I won an argument very sucessfully with a student protesting out student tuition fees. I mean, so what if you have to pay. Students like me dodge tax anyway. If everyone else has to pay to earn, it's only fair we have to pay to learn. That was my closing line, which I was proud of since it rhymes. The proper version had more swearing though, because she was pissing me off. :D 8 SIMON WALTON SONORK ID 100.10024

Sorry, I'm quite broke until I deposit my paychecks. Think I'll do that this week. That's one of the advantages of living with your parents, you don't really need to have money around. In fact, I prefer just having the checks because I know that I can't blow it all right then and there. Last week I stated that this woman was the ugliest woman I had ever seen. I have since been visited by her sister and now wish to withdraw that statement. -Mark Twain
