Dave, you're being a bit of a hypocrite (you've been just as bad as the rest of us, but please don't become pedantic and request a specific reference - you know you've been a bad monkey). The problem with "this place falling into the same mess" isn't because of people that aren't hobbled some false sense of morality or decency, it's because of the fuckwads (like Samer12 and IrishCoffee9) that are allowed to join/stay. We were doing just fine before the influx of idiots we've seen over the last 12 months. Now, we have barely literate assholes stirring shit up on the lounge, ignoring the posting rules, and generally degrading the overall quality of articles we see. It's time to take CP back from the religious zealots, political know-it-alls, and idiot students begging for us to do their fuckin' homework. If you don't want to be part of a solution to the problem, then STFU. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends

Wahoo, the propaganda begins. I guess Arabs would rather have people killed by their own madmen. "Saddam might be sick killing bastard, but at least he is our sick killing bastard!" Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

The question that I have is where and when were these pictures taken? And what actually harmed these people, it could have been anti aircraft fire falling back to earth. There was obviously no shortage of metal being thrown into sky over the last few days. It is possible that these were innocent people killed by Iraqi fire or by the Coalition by accident. Here is a problem, John. All faithful CP members like to see its growth. 100,000 members! 500,000 members! 10,000,000 members! :) But this growth comes at a price. I agree that the quality of postings degraded - in my opinion, of course, I can't be an objective judge. But isn't this a price for popularity? Isn't it too optimistic to hope we can grow up to a million members without losing in quality of our discussions? And with restricted access to CP, it will probably be hard for Chris to convince his sponsors - the site is free for us all. Вагиф Абилов MCP (Visual C++) Oslo, Norway Hex is for sissies. The Iraqi regime has plenty of viciously killed civilians to photograph and present to the world. Most of them were killed by Sadaam before this or any other war. I am not shocked or disgusted by these pictures, I am angered by them. These pictures are being presented as evidence of the atrocity of the US against the Iraqi people with absolutely no objectivity. I can appreciate other people’s views and opinions, but when you show no objectivity or even concern for others and try to push your twisted view of the world on others, I draw a line. I don’t believe for one moment that you truly care about the Iraqi people, because if you did, you would be presenting an objective view of reality. Include pictures of Iraqi’s killed, raped or dismembered by Sadaam. Talk about the value of human life, discuss the potential for real disarmament, potential future wars, etc. Just don’t show how stupid you really are by presenting totally non-objective materials with no supporting evidence. Please find a better use for your time and intellect or at the very least post this crap in the Soapbox. Matt Gullett PS. It looks like you signed up for CP just to post this crap. Go away.

South Africa is a bit of a paradox most of the time. Infrastructure, business, economics, goods, cities etc. are all very westernised. Apart from the tube London has virtually nothing that Cape Town or Joburg does not. That is because of apartheid where 5million whites ruled 40million non-whites. The whites came mainly from Europe and so have European ways (even though the Dutch (Afrikaans) are quite different to us English whites.) Now things have changed. The majority is aboriginal Africans, blacks. Then there is a big sector of coloureds (a race formed from whites sleeping with blacks.) Also plenty of Indians and Malays. Not that many Arabs, but some. Religion wise it is either Christianity or Islam. The Muslims are rather vocal. Christianity is obviously related to western ways, and since most South Africans don't like the yanks or poms very much they naturally side with the ME and the East. Also remember our president and former president are great pals with the likes of Gadafi and other fun characters. Anyway so the plan is to get rid of depending on the west for news. Unfortunatley without the western media there is very few alternatives. Obviously far east stuff is worthless here. So it falls to the ME. Aljazeera. They had a trial run the other night. It was horrific. Had a chap speaking in Arabic or whatever with subtitles in another Arab language. Then they had a voice over of some Arab translating the Arabic into English. But it was a horrendous translation, understood about 1/3 of what he said. I think the plan is to switch to BBC, yay!, and Aljazeera, sigh, in a 50/50 split.

One non politically correct comment I have read suggests that African Christians and tribal religions are more likely to be susceptable to the Aids epedemic than the African Muslims. It would be interesting to know: (1) If these were recent pictures (2) If these pictures were taken in Iraq (as opposed to, say, Chechnya) (3) If these deaths were actually cause by the Americans (as opposed to being killed by Iraq) Journalists here are saying that Iraqi officials have been taking them to see residential houses that have been bombed, telling them about mass civilian casualties and deaths. But, when they talk to neighbors in the area, the Iraqi civilians tell the journalists that the houses were empty - no one was living there! What other propaganda have the Iraqis been pushing? Also, journalists who have talked to Iraqis in hospitals all have been saying the same thing: their house wasn't bombed - rather - they were in the wrong place at the wrong time - for example, one woman was walking past a presidential palace when it was hit. ------------------------------------------ "What happened in that Rhode Island club is shocking. Very emmotive pictures. But in war people die. It makes no difference if you die from having your head blown off to being shot through the heart. The war is wrong either way !

I have previously replied this message, but my message is deleted??? The operation name should be changed to as it is "Free Iraq's resources". Main reason for this for this war is freeing resources of Iraq, by achiving this operation some of Iraq's may die and this is does not seem to be important for people who are responsible. They may improve and test their new weapons, this is a chance!!! for them. They may also free people of Iraq, i am sure that the child we see in this picture is now as free as birds :(

One non politically correct comment I have read suggests that African Christians and tribal religions are more likely to be susceptable to the Aids epedemic than the African Muslims. If this is true, it could really change the demographics of the continent. Regardz Colin J Davies

One politically incorrect question. How do Muslims accept Gays and Drug users? My perception is they are very strict in their acceptance. Feel free to correct me if this is wrong, I really do not know. ""

David is a child, and he doesn't seem to understand. He tries to come off as objective, when in fact he's beligerent to the US in every possible way. Therefore, I tend to try to ignore him.
