I couldn't agree more I doing some work involving RabbitMQ and Protocol Buffers developed in Java using intelliJ (which is bloody amazing by the way and I've always been a Visual Studio chap) and everything so far has been free, gratis, zilch cost! How are people making money I wonder.

Visual Studio 2015I got one of those Windows 10 development environment VMs which include VS2015. Get a Windows 10 development environment - Windows app development[^] I used Hyper-V. I've been using VS2013 for a good while and had no problem opening and woking on my solutions using VS2015 in the VM. It's still too early for me to completely move to VS2015 for daily development though.

Current Monitor AdviceI'm in the same boat and I'm considering an ultra-wide instead of using two monitors for browser + Visual Studio development, LG has a nice 29" 21:9 but the 34" is also being considered. Be good also for my current Heroes and Generals addiction.

My first rant in a long time...Can anyone give me ONE example where layered code has proved to be a major advantage? Sounds to me like you're working on an un-documented project. Bad. Can you imagine a protocol stack not being separated into layers? When you re-use code OO is a dream. A.

Oh if you like that sort of thing you'll love "The Trailer Park Boys", way to go Canada! I've recently been watching the first two series of "Skins" a serial out of Bristol in the UK, I thought it was excellent.

Well some are trying to find a way into the future. Perhaps if the red-necked neo-cons would accept that they failed they could start helping. One upshot is seeing RNNs making socialist sounding comments. That's why they're so quiet of late.

I think you two would get on well. So don't you think there should be any sort of compensation for those wrongly imprisioned?

Private Enterprise and Correctional FacilitiesIt's hardly surprising they slipped-up though, what with living in a country made out of ice.
