The original site was written using VB and Java, and once we reached about 3000 members no one could access it effectively in the time one could reasonably expect a dialup connection to stay connected. That's when Bob revealed the secrets of ASP and DHTML to Chris, earning him lifelong banishment from his home planet, but allowing Chris and friends to completely rewrite the site for efficient access by the masses, even the 437 people using Netscape at the time. The new site went active on July 6, 2000, so no one had any record of previous activity (which is probably for the best, as the statute of limitations hasn't run out yet). Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.
