I actually considered doing that myself. It would actually be pretty trivial to get the basics going using Box2D for the physics

Give Firefox Lorentz a try: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/lorentz/[^] It's a build of FF3.6 that sandboxes Flash, QT and Silverlight in their own process (the way chrome does.) If flash crashes, stalls, or otherwise goes mad, you can just kill the child process in task manager, and firefox continues to run, letting you restart the plugin if you desire. I've been using it for a few days, and it seems pretty good on the few sites I've known to cause FF to lock up in the past

In this country (UK) anyway, you can get a phone for <£15 (~$20) on a Prepaid tariff, and most phones are free if you take one out on contract If all you want is to make phone calls, and maybe send texts, that's more than adequate. (Are you talking about call plans too, or just the cost of buying the phone?)

56 ish My Dad's always been into computers, taking every chance when he was young, so he's very IT literate. My Mum lived in a house with three computer obsessed guys, so it's rubbed off on her, too. (My Mum's completed Oblivion, both Assassin's Creed games, and many others)

Aha, thanks for noticing. My parents spotted the googlecar about two years ago, and being the geeks that they are, they followed it. That's them, in the red Audi[^] They followed it where it got stuck up a country lane, but those pics don't seem to have made it live :(

Presumably you could just open lots of bubbles to the same function, each at a different stack level.

I can certainly see that being useful, especially when refactoring complex code, although I have a feeling it'd take a while to get used to.

That's fairly common - the spammer's just using a database that's sorted alphabetically.

Well, I witnessed first hand all the people on my course at Uni who'd go to the tutor asking for "worked samples" and would keep on at him until they got something that was pretty much the expected answer, just with a few parameters switched. Then they'd ask one of us to help them get it working. For some reason this was considered to be "using their initiative" rather than just being clueless timewasters :sigh:
