That looks like a pack rat[^], except it's the wrong color. Just when we were getting ready to move, one moved into our garage. More specifically, it moved on top of the battery in the wife's Subaru. We realized he was in the garage, and he'd been flushed from his hiding place under the hood of the car and into the wood bin when I went looking for him. So we opened the garage, backed the car out, then flushed him out of his hiding place. He ran into the middle of the garage where the car had been, stood on his hind legs looking around with a puzzled look on his face... then ran out of the garage under the car... and didn't come out the other side. :mad: :rolleyes: So we walk up to the car, open the hood, and there is this full-blown nest on top of the battery with a scared-looking pack rat sitting in front looking up at us. :laugh: I'm not really sure what happened to him. We tried to scare him out of the car, and he ran down underneath on the exhaust pipe, but neither of us saw him actually running away from the vehicle into the grass. Of course that doesn't mean he didn't... but the wife had to drive into town shortly thereafter, and if he was still trying to hold onto the exhaust he probably got cooked. :sigh: L u n a t i c F r i n g e

I'm jealous. With some ground bison, onion and canned tomatoes it makes an awesome paleo pasta. We are trying to go high density with square foot gardening and it is paying off well. With all the vermiculite and peat moss it uses, the soil holds up really well to gardening in hot and dry weather. We had tomatoes for the first time after 3 years of trying, and canned up 10 jars. I'm really beginning to appreciate the taste and quality of the homegrown stuff myself. We recently had to do the same and because we have so many systems (thousands) it was tough to find some method that afforded a large list of values but in the end a creative co-worker came up with the answer, unaddressed/unresolved plot points from the TV Show LOST. We quickly realized we could network the entire planet and still not run out of possible names. This naming convention also gave all of us, serious fans of tyhe show, a subtle but effective way to vent our frustration with the shows writers/producers; Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. We also felt it only applicable to honor these 2 guys in our LOST domain and so we also have 2 servers DAMON_1 and CUSE_1, both of which are for dumpoing crap that no one knows what the files are for but we're afraid to delete them in case there is ever an audit.

I use a middle of the road Swiss Army Knife brand backpack, it has a sleeve I put the company laptop in, a 17", and I put the 15.4" laptop next to it in the back. There is still more than enough room for my USB hard disk, two chargers, 4 paper backs, 4 medium hard back books, a car GPS, 5 pounds of change, 2 mp3 players, two headsets, usb charger cables all around, a mp3 to aux input cable, a plug expander and assorted pens, note pads, reading glass in a case, etc. Oh, and the most important thing, there is still room for my herniated disk and all the advil I need to not feel it. Plus it it slings over my shoulders to keep my hands free to deal with stuff. Silver member by constant and unflinching longevity.

there are a few utilities to turn programs into background demon type operations, but I have never tried them....
