Mmmm Chip fridayI go to ECU. Chic-fil-a is a fairly new restaurant on campus. I'm sure I will get sick of it quickly as well. But for now I will enjoy it :)

Mmmm Chip fridayAll restaurants have their stories, whether they are fast food or not. I used to work at a diner back in NY....I've seen/heard half of the stuff that goes on there and I actually still eat the food. In my opinion if you constantly think of all the bad stuff that goes on at places no one would EVER eat out. Just think of going to a place to eat as playing the lotto and hope that you win the luck of the draw....haha. ;) As for your stalker in Tennessee.....good luck with that...haha.

Mmmm Chip fridayUsually on Tuesday or Thursday after class I go to the chic-fil-a on campus and get a grilled chicken sandwich. For those of you who don't chic-fil-a is a fast food restaurant that is mostly found in the the Southern U.S. that sells all kinds of chicken. It's actually very good and not like typical fast food :)

"Here kitty kitty"I know a lady who owns a mountain lion, several African Cervals (not quite sure how you spell that),a lemur and a couple of bobcats as well. You would be amazed at how affectionate those cats are towards her. Anyone else however is a different story....haha. But they pretty much have their own house in the backyard that is kept at a constant temperature throughout the year.(Upstate New York can be cold in the winter.) The thing is it is perfectly legal for to keep these animals because she has some sort of license. The cats aren't disabled in anyway or anything, they are perfectly healthy and hand raised. They are amazing animals, but I must say that I wouldn't want one as a pet.

Oh My Poor Students!I'm a college student myself and I have to say that there is really not too much that can be done. You seem to be doing all you can to get these people to pass and it seems as if they just don't care. (Or at least most of them don't.) I think that it's sad that a lot of students just don't care about what they are doing while they're in college, like it's a giant party or something. I find that a lot of people at my school are just here for a good time. I, myself, am very greatful to be going to college. I'm the pretty much the first one in my family that has gone on to college. (Most joined the military.) I don't think that students should take going to college lightly considering most people's parents are shelling out a lot of money. I know my parents are shelling out about $20,000 (taken out in loans) and that I feel that I owe it to them to do my best. There is one class that I study for continously and read all that I'm told to read, but I still do poorly on tests. In this case though the professor doesn't do much to help or teach what he wants to get across. There isn't a lot of help offered, or extra credit, or anything like that. So I think that you're students are lucky to have a teacher like you. Now I'm not saying that I came to college to work work work....I still have a good time while I'm here. But the difference is I work/study hard so that my time here isn't a waste. There's pleanty of time to go out and have fun and still study. There's not much that can be done to save them from retaking the class. They have to want to learn and care enough to get help if they're struggling.

CPUFOTDYou failed to mention that the CRNA called the guy who was on call first. Then he had to call the fire department. (He wasn't even at the hospital)

Halloween costume ideasAh, but you see the burning people at the stakes is just rumored to be a myth. Here's some history on Halloween: The word Halloween actually comes from the Catholic Church and their tradition of "All Hallows Eve" (or "All Saints Day") which was celebrated on November 1st. Now the celtic New Year fell on October 31st because they believed that summer ended on this day. One story says that, on that day, the disembodied spirits of all those who had died throughout the preceding year would come back in search of living bodies to possess for the next year.the still-living did not want to be possessed. So on the night of October 31, villagers would extinguish the fires in their homes, to make them cold and undesirable. They would then dress up in all manner of ghoulish costumes and noisily paraded around the neighborhood, being as destructive as possible in order to frighten away spirits looking for bodies to possess. Some accounts tell of how the Celts would burn someone at the stake who was thought to have already been possessed, as sort of a lesson to the spirits. But this was proven a myth with other things that happened in Celtic history. The custom of trick-or-treating is thought to have originated not with the Irish Celts, but with a ninth-century European custom called souling. On November 2, All Souls Day, early Christians would walk from village to village begging for "soul cakes," made out of square pieces of bread with currants. The more soul cakes the beggars would receive, the more prayers they would promise to say on behalf of the dead relatives of the donors. At the time, it was believed that the dead remained in limbo for a time after death, and that prayer, even by strangers, could expedite a soul's passage to heaven. So, although some cults may have adopted Halloween as their favorite "holiday," the day itself did not grow out of evil practices.

Halloween costume ideasWell if you live in the United States you could go to Wal Mart and buy the t-shirt that says this is my halloween costume. If not you could make one that says that. My boyfriend wanted to do that, but I wouldn't let him....haha.
-
Halloween costume ideasIt got some fun looks because it was really scary :sigh: However, I will admit that it was an original idea and it wasn't *that* bad of a costume. :)
