  • Callback Routine Not Getting Triggered
    E ExtraLean

I've created a very simple one-button MFC dialog app that attempts to utilize a callback function. The app complies and runs just fine, but the callback routine never gets triggered. What needs to be modified in order to get the callback to trigger properly? You can download the test.zip file here (the test app is in VS 2003 to ensure more people can try it out): http://tinyurl.com/testfile-zip The code utilizes an alarm class posted here on CodeProject, and the callback function in the test app is suppsed to get triggered every 3 seconds (as determined by the code being passed in). Thanks!

No, I don't know, but I sure wish someone else would chime in that does know! If it isn't an editor control, does anyone know of one that is just like it besides Scintilla?

At 59 bucks a pop you should be offering around an 85% discount when you hit 20,000 seats. That means $8.85 or so for each seat, which should yield around $177,000. Of course you'd better charge extra for support too, and make sure they are willing to have a single point of contact for all support requests! -- Edward Livingston (aka ExtraLean) -- "I still maintain that seeing a nipple is far less disturbing than seeing someone get their brains blown out." -- Chris Maunder

  • 80 to 90 Car Pileup in West Michigan
    E ExtraLean

Quote: "Multiple accidents have closed the US131 near Belmont. A six-mile section of the freeway is closed in both directions. State troopers say the crash caused by blinding snow conditions resulted in several jackknifed semi-tractor trailers and the closure of part of the highway. A police spokesman said the crashes started at 9:25 this morning. Responders say at least 80 to 90 cars may be involved in the accidents according to State Police estimates. 47 cars were involved on the Northbound side and 37 cars on the south bound side not including cars that were run off the freeway. One large 12 car accident and another 4 car accident. 29 people went to the hospital with injuries, 2 of in very critical condition. Accident victims were removed from the crash area to a nearby school and then to the hospital. 1 person, a man from Minnesota, was killed. An eyewitness reported that lake effect snow caused a white out situation and cars started hitting each other. All available emergency units in the area had been asked to respond. Buses were routed to the scene of the accident to provide shelter for people who have been involved in the crash. Cars that can be driven were released onto southbound US131 as of 10:35AM. Traffic is being routed off the freeway onto Post Drive and West River Dr. The Police cannot say when the freeway will reopen. The investigation into the crash and its causes has to be completed before vehicles anc be removes and the freeway reopened." -- Edward Livingston (aka ExtraLean) -- "I still maintain that seeing a nipple is far less disturbing than seeing someone get their brains blown out." -- Chris Maunder
