I am with you. Have you folks ever tried working with SQL Server (dates in american format) having to translate every single date you get or send to the database ir order for it to show CORRECTLY (yes, a statement meaning that the american format is WRONG)? Estoy hasta los cojones (just a little chanllenge for that nice filter Chris has set up);P

Well, if you want something really cheap for its quality, you should give a look at Creative's DTT 3500. Though not suitable for very large rooms (hey, who's got a large room nowadays?):-D It's quality is really good for computer sound and DVD movies.

  • Don't Want To Run Any Application...
    F Francisco Viella

In Windows 2000 you have mucho more control on the priorities of the different processes (look at the post by Paolo Messina). I tried once (in Windows 2000) to place the seti process at realtime priority, and I can tell you it did exactly that. I could do nothing more that use that application. No switching, no mouse (keyboard still works), no paging, the closest thing you'll ever see to a real time OS in Windows.:)

the trick is making your computer believe that your application is a screen saver, that way, no other application can run. I did this in VB  some time ago. I suppose it won't be very difficult to port it to VC++ Go to the MSDN and look for this article HOWTO: Block CTRL+ALT+DEL and ALT+TAB in Windows 95 or Windows 98

Yeah, and the ETA terrorism in Spain. That would be really good, too. Perhaps that's the reason why our president has jumped so fast saying that we'll give the americans any type of support we can. That's a good point.

I've had no problem with it. It accepted my birth date and showed it without problems. Maybe it was because I was born on the 4th of April.:-D

I agree, good point there markkuk. XML is a language for defining data structures, not a programming language.

  • Whats cars to you guys drive?
    F Francisco Viella

I had a Jetta for 5 years. It was my parent's, was mine and now is my brother's. It's got almost 300000 km and still like the first day (well, a little more lazy ;) ) I would have bought a Bora when I changed my car in 1998, but VW had stopped the production of the Bora waiting for the next model that was due 6 months later and I could not wait. Good car the RS6, but I still love the M5.

My current car is an Opel Vectra 1.6 and very happy with it. 96000km and not a single problem. :) My next car, if I can afford it, will be a BMW. And my dream car, of course, is a BMW M5.

    F Francisco Viella

Well. I have to admit that NERO is a good program, but if you want to make your own music CDs (even MP3 CDs) you should try Feurio. It's the best when it comes to music. www.feurio.net (sorry, no HTML tags) ;)

Sometime ago I heard about IBM having the doc/view/controller model implemented in their Visual Age for OS/2. Since now there is a Visual Age working in Windows, I presume there will be a doc/view/controller too.

Well, I don't know if it might be useful, but Iberia (the Spanish flag airline) just wants to get rid of some old 747. I think calling them would do no harm, wouldn't it? Their web page is www.iberia.es (sorry, I don't know HTML and don't want to learn it) :-)
