New SB E-Mail!I've never laughed at any of these. Every time I see someone post a link to a new episode, I click on it in the hopes that I've missed something in the past or I'll suddenly see something funny. Anyone else? --- "This isn't right. Grammar 101I find too many people use this word in place of "figuratively." It's the opposite! I saw a television commercial from a communications company in which the announcer stated that with their product, "the world will literally be at your fingertips." --- "This isn't right. mailto and AttachmentsI should also have clarified that I need the dialog to remain open so the user can edit the message. Much like WinZip does. --- "This isn't right. This isn't even wrong." -Wolfgang Pauli (1900 - 1958), on a paper submitted by a physicist colleague

mailto and AttachmentsI'd read the scheme and it seems that some mail clients adhere to the scheme and some allow the "attach" or "attachment" option. Bummer. --- "This isn't right. This isn't even wrong." -Wolfgang Pauli (1900 - 1958), on a paper submitted by a physicist colleague

mailto and AttachmentsThis is going to drive me crazy. I'm trying to create a mailto URL that includes attachments. I found an example here on CP but it doesn't work for me. My default email client is Outlook and it complains about a parameter. Now, I suspect it can be done because WinZip supports "Zip and Email." Perhaps WinZip isn't using the mailto URL but if it isn't how is it opening the default email client. Any ideas or solutions? --- "This isn't right. Implement Move Lists with >> > << <Jesse, That's beautiful. I'll definitely have to check this out. I really appreciate this Jesse. -John --- "This isn't right. This isn't even wrong." -Wolfgang Pauli (1900 - 1958), on a paper submitted by a physicist colleague

Implement Move Lists with >> > << <John, Thank you. This is exactly what I've discovered from searching and testing on my own. I understand the need to store them in a hidden field but since I'm new to ASP.NET, I have no idea how to implement this. I'd appreciate any pointers or links that would help. Implement Move Lists with >> > << <I'm sure you didn't mean for you reply to be all commentary and no content. I've found plenty of examples of client-side code that allows me to move s from one to another. When I want to save those changes, I use a server side button to walk through each ListBox. The code-behind code doesn't know anything about the changes made to the listboxes on the client. Why the disconnect and what can I do about it? --- "This isn't right. Implement Move Lists with >> > << <I've been trying to figure out if it's possible to implement the model illustrated below:
LIST1 LIST2
|-----| |-----|
|AAA | >> |CCC |
|BBB | > | |
| | < | |
| | << | |
|-----| |-----|(apparently the PRE tag isn't working) We've all seen UIs like this that allow you to move selected or all from one state to the other then save or cancel those changes. I tried using ListBoxes fed by DataViews that filtered the rows so they'd appear in the correct listbox. The catch is that ListBoxes don't provide a means of getting BACK to the underlying data which is a huge requirement for me. I can't believe that I'm unique in this need. Can anyone point me to sample code or examples that do something like this? --- "This isn't right. This isn't even wrong." -Wolfgang Pauli (1900 - 1958), on a paper submitted by a physicist colleague

Good regex sitesI was just writing some regular expressions and decided to hit the 'net to avoid reinventing the wheel. I recalled that I used to know of a pretty cool site where people submitted regexs for comment and allowed voting by visitors. I can't find that site for the life of me. No amount of Googling yielded the site for which I was looking. I figured this would be a good lounge topic. Share your favorite regex sites. This one has some useful expressions but it's really basic: http://www.3leaf.com/default/NetRegExpRepository.aspx (I use Mozilla so no new brower window clickety) --- "This isn't right.
