There are any number of things that don't work with just one screen. For example when you full screen a video or image. For my home set up, games often take up one monitor and the other monitor allows me to pull up hints, etc on the other. One might think that hotswapping is an option in that case but quite a few games do not work well with that. And even hotswapping does not work when one is trying to follow a less than ideal map on the second screen. Another problem with only one screen is when that screen dies. Not only can you see nothing but have no way to test that it is actually the screen is the problem. With a second screen you can swap to check cables and video ports. (I have had a cable die which is completely hidden, is never manipulated and never touched, which was a surprise to me.) Larger monitors are harder to physically manage. It is not just the weight but the bulkiness. So if you need to re-organize, move etc it becomes harder. And of course back to the problem above, if you happen to drop that single monitor when doing that you are back to no monitor at all. Naturally if you have multiple setups in the house this is less of a problem but it still depends on that and it still requires manhandling a monitor from another location.

Unfortunately I can't really offer much more then googling photoshop greyscale tutorials. Photoshop offers so many options to play with. Essentially converting to greyscale gives you more freedom to play with the color channels to create more dramatic effects. If you crank the blue sky unrealistically dark in a color photo it looks fake, but in b/w it might just look more dramatic. The way to do that dynamically is to do it with two or more layers, the top one converts to b/w and the others let you play with the colors, contrast and the like. Assuming you are using ASP.NET I can recommend setting the <authorization> element in the Web.config file of your website. The easiest method to secure more directories is to place a web.config file in the directory you want to secure and place a <location> tag with a <system.web><authorization>lt;/authorization></system.web> tag inside it. I see.. No built in support for this kind of advanced scheme :o) Strange that you can't get project properties like version in the macro. However, no matter how much out of the macro box I think, I still cant see how I can retrieve the project version number from the msi file. Got any ideas for that ? In my many tests I've got this data: WinForm "void" Application, just started: 9 MB or more WinForm "void" Application, minimized: ~3 MB WinForm "void" Application, after a hour or so, not minimized: 7 MB or more IIS aspnet_wp, just started, 1 "void" web app running: 25 MB or more IIS aspnet_wp, 2 "real" web apps running: 60 MB or more "void" means an empty form (create new Windows Forms project, compile and launch it) or a simple web application with 1 page and no code. "real" means a production web application, with SQL Server/Access database Consider that .NET 2.0 consumes a little more memory. AFAIK with two or more WinForms applications running, almost no memory is re-used. Since it's open source, it wouldn't take much to change smftpc.c to perform ODBC-based authentication. An Outlook .msg file is a structured storage file that contains the MAPI properties of the message and it's subobjects. The exact format of the names and content of the IStream and IStorage objects is not 'officially' documented but with a bit of probing you should be able to figure it out. You would need to use MAPI and the structured storage interfaces to copy the contents back and forth between the message store and the .msg file. -George
