Hi Jim, if you aak a simple question in a social context where there is no consensual reality, or operational definition of sanity, then, I would postulate, the quantum-mechanics of chance are fractally unpredictable, rather than relativistically unpredictable, and to say you have "no chance," is, quite possibly, to say simultaneously: "there is every chance." That you have some concern, and empathy, for a fellow employee's emotional reaction, is, I think, admirable. And, imho, any employee that cannot respond to non-aggressive appropriate feedback, and questions, directly related to the company's work, without inappropriate emotional reactions, deserves to have their suitability for employment reconsidered. yours, Bill
“Human beings do not live in the objective world alone, nor alone in the world of social activity as ordinarily understood, but are very much at the mercy of the particular language which has become the medium of expression for their society. It is quite an illusion to imagine that one adjusts to reality essentially without the use of language and that language is merely an incidental means of solving specific problems of communication or reflection."
