:thumbsup: Not only because of companies might take over the hosting provider. There are many code hosting sites out there and the author himself might someday want (or has) to change the site he's hosting his code on (e.g. not too long ago a hosting provider shut down after he got hacked). If the article doesn't get updated there isn't a working link to the code any longer.

The people you will find on this site and on the Internet in general are representative of the people you will met in the real world: there are cool people and morons. By publishing an article, you are putting something on a public place, open to good or bad written criticism. This would be the same if you would shout in the street or write an newspaper article. So you cannot avoid the trolls, that is fact.

Because he was bitching about a univoter and having dealt with my own univoter[^] I checked his profile, looked at some of the comments on his articles and picked on a down vote, followed that to the voter profile, checked the number of messages and saw that he had posted 4 messages, 3 univotes so I looked at the messages and the content is rubbish to support the univote. I know it is convoluted but you can find some amazing information if you are willing to rat around for a while. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity RAH

Good engineers, will explain what's required to finish, it truly is hard to give a definite timescale as some problems or technical hurdles always appear down the line. So if your pressing somebody for a timescale as what steps are required to finish the jobs and a ballpark figure on have long each step will take. This is text book management that all companies use. They will take that information away and probably add/take a percentage on the timescale given. At the proposed step call the team/developer in and ask them if it complete and why not? Then adjust timescales accordingly. Breaking a project down into bite sized pieces is the only way to go, this is from my only person experience in the industry. Two heads are better than one.

Last I looked there weren't any apps that didn't use the conversation view, apparently everybody loves it and anyone who doesn't is considered weird. My old phone running WM6 had messages sorted in threads but it very kindly gave me the option to disable it, and I took advantage of it. And after putting up with the conversation view on my Android device for a few months now, I still prefer the other way. Call me what you will but I don't need to see what messages I have sent to other people and it's so much better just to see messages listed in the order they arrive.
