In my experience, the speed measurements at the start of an app are always polluted by the runtime initialization. That is, it might look that "A" takes longer than "B", where actually does not. Typically, I copy the same piece of code two or three times, then I take the last results. Have a try, maybe the results will change, maybe not.

  • JSON to JSON for .NET (Core)?
    M Mario Vernari

I didn't know that library. As for me, if you use the NewtonSoft JSON library, then you can leverage the JLinq section which offers a fluent API close to the Linq. With that you can do practically everything. There's only a thing which does not come for free, but it's not hard to write by yourself. It's the path-mapping of the nodes. However, I'd prefer the "pull" approach: the path should represent the node to retrieve (from the source), and that should be specified in the transformation template. Good luck!

    M Mario Vernari

I see your point, but consider also we've few choices to avoid that. First off, although many users wish to stick to Win-less-than-10, the pressure is everyday greater. As developer, I found many troubles (still have) on supporting older OSes than newer ones. Secondly, it seems they adding new features (yet interesting) on the newest platforms, and that's reasonable. If you may afford to ship your apps/services without those news, then...yes, avoid any further upgrade. Ciao
