I'm pretty sure beta radiation is still radioactive emission (it emits an electron).

I had big problems with TT when I signed up, it took 12 weeks to set up my broadband, and only then after a direct (firm and polite) email to the CEO. Fair play though - all my problems got fixed within 36 hours after the email was received. Unfortunately if you get stuck with the customer service drones then support is pitiful.

Laithwaites, a wine delivery company, has great customer service. Can't recommend them highly enough. As for every other UK company's customer service - dreadful.

I agree - Friday is a great book, one of a very few that I can happily re-read time after time.

argh...just voted a 1 by mistake - sorry. :sigh: I need an undo button. Or less trigger happy mouse fingers.

That's what I like to see - plenty of compassion and tolerance in a religion.
Nice analogy!

I have seen it, but I can't remember that bit! Probably I was laughing so hard at some other bit that I missed it - I should see it again. Anyone know when the DVD is released?

I'm with TalkTalk too. If you can bear the wait for broadband to be connected (they have to do some re-plumbing at the BT exchanges...) and are prepared to risk the customer service, then the actual performance / price ratio is very good. Plus you get free local / national / international calls. I had one problem early on and their customer service was dreadful, until I finally got through to someone who was prepared to take the time to listen. Then they had the problem fixed within 24 hours.
