I good memory of Gary Kildall I cannot agree with you. Those time MS WAS an evil, CP/M is stolen and that is true. Details of it is hidden by you know who and there's no need to explain why. I worked on CP/M and programmed for it using ASM and I should say that its basics are same as in MS-DOS with correction to 16 bit nature of x86 processors. CP/M-80 is a predecessor of DR-DOS which was legal move towards x86 architecture and made by Digital Research. MS/PC-DOS is fully rewritten version of CP/M-80. Google for details. P.S. Right now I'm working on XP, sure it is best today's OS from MS and will remain the best for some time. But it doesn't mean that MS will be monopoly forever, its time will pass soon as MS have some fast, good moving and young competitors behind. MS is too lazy and huge monster.

Well, from your point nature is evil too... Free medicine? Cancer research? Google search and all its services? Wikipedia? Codeproject? You're using CP for free, don't you? When something is free - you can choose to use it or not - that's not evil.

    Henry Minute wrote:

You talk about using pirated software, therefore stealing from hard working people. No sir! It is you that is evil.

But when two companies (IBM and MS) stole the work of person created CP/M to build their PC/MS DOS system - that's piracy. Copy windows interface from Xerox system and then from Applie - not a piracy? I've used piracy software alot some time ago, same as millions of other people who couldn't afford buying MS "work". However I'm still absolutely clear with opinion that people shouldn't pay for such kind of sh!tty software which is however a monopoly. I'll pay for Mac, I'll donate to OS projects, but will never pay for Office 2007 and will use pirated office 2003. That's life, that's true. I'm not making money on office but I have to use it because everyone is using it. You're too M$ optimistic and loyal I should say. Try UBUNTU - feel free... Like in "free beer", I suppose you like to get couple of pintas for free!

Apple and Linux goes up, Microsoft goes down. History is like a circle - and Microsoft's circle are about to start over soon. I think - many users will stuck on XP as there's no any reason to upgrade to W7even. For example my machine which fits all my requirement s is 5 years old Athlon 3200+ 2GB Ram and 2TB of hard drives is runing XP. Laptop is Dell's Pentium III with 256Mb also run XP. To run crappy Vista or not so crappy W7even I should definitely buy new desktop PC and laptop. Even using pirated windows copy it will cost sensible amount of money. If I buy two licenses of W7even (which will be expensive than XP) total sum will scare all my relatives out :-) Then why should I buy anything if I already have everything? BTW - two other PIII machines are perfectly running Ubuntu 8.04.3 Linux and perform all kind of background tasks like routing (between 2 internet channels), caching and traffic filtering, torrents downloads and so on. So to summarize - MS is absolute 'evil'. It is not like free Linux, and not like fully equipped Apple machines. There's nothing new in Vista and 7even, really!

You're absolutely right! I'm not polite and should not be polite when someone ask dump and ugly formed questions. And you're absolutely right that millions of Indian developers work in different industries and countries but these 10 developers I knew and worked with during last years - were screwing up everything because of their mentality. "Why should I bother to make things better if I get paid for doing nothing special" What would you say on that? And sorry if I hurt someone's feeling but I'm honest and all described above is truth. P.S. I've spend many hours of work to debug, fix and finally complete one small project which was done by FIVE guys from Bangalor. That project took 6 month for them to make something that seems to be working however application wasn't completed. Customer was trying to make them fix it for next 6 month constantly paying them. But there was no luck. Then I got this project and finished it for one month, alone, at home, working for 2-3 hours per day. So what would I think about Indian programmers?

Get .NET Reflector here: http://www.red-gate.com/products/reflector/[^] Get file disassembler plugin for Reflector here: http://www.denisbauer.com/NETTools/FileDisassembler.aspx[^] Then just disassemble compiled project into VB. You'll get messy list of files but it will compile and will work, and you'll probably get what you need. However - my main comment is - don't stuck on one language! Learn VB.NET and C#. P.S. If you're asking someone to do your job every time - this means that you'll never get your own brains working.

To stuck on one technology means to stuck in one place instead of moving. What you'll do if .NET will be discontinues for some reason? Or you believe that one technology you know will feed you until the end of your life? Totally naive question and answer is YES - YOU SHOULD. I'd also recommend to get knowledge in JavaScript (JQuery, JSon etc), C/C++ because these languages are roots of everything else.
