First place I noticed this is with a command promt ... it's way easier to drag a file into CMD than type out it's full path, but no dice when elivated :(

Windows 7 recent files integration for Visual Studio 2008Which is why I talked about VS 2008 and then explained that VS 2010 does have this feature...
-
Windows 7 recent files integration for Visual Studio 2008VS 2008 doesnt have any special support for Win7 so Win7 can only go by what it sees, and it sees the files being opened. VS 2010 does have special support and tells Win7 the solution files are important.

Visual Studio 2010 performance problemsHave you used Beta2? It's much better.

Visual Studio 2010 performance problemsI haven't been having any, but apparently some people have. Brian Harry over at MS has been asking for reports on any problems you've had over on his blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/bharry/archive/2009/10/27/performance-of-vs-beta-2.aspx[^]

What is your dream job?You should try some smaller places, I find they are usually much more flexible and because of the lower number of people you have to multi-role more. Of course you have to spot the difference between small and good and small and crap/cheap in the interview. My job with a company of 8 people: 0) I work on various projects with a range of different technologies so there’s always something new to learn or fix. 1) I'm getting a city salary in a medium sized town, so that’s pretty good. 2) Not sure if I could work from home. I have RDP setup and can remotely work so there are no technical barriers, but I've never asked since I like the office environment and find it more conducive to working. 3) I have a Quad Core 2, 8gb RAM, 24" primary, 22" secondary and win 2k8 (upgrading to 2k8r2 as soon as my new gfx card arrives). 4) See above about keeping up with the latest OSs. As well as that we get the latest versions of VS, any dev tools we ask for (although we don’t ask for many) and currently were trying a few of the smaller projects on vs 2010. 5) I'm an admin on the domain :) I can go and mess with the network if I need to, not that I need to often. 6) We rarely have meetings, we have informal talks a bit more often but we're in one big room so we just spin around on our chairs. 7) Almost no politics. The dev team is shielded from the sales and managers so our CTO takes all the crap and we get the ability to just get on with the job. 8) I went past the new guy stage a month ago ^_^ after being here for 5 months :)

VS2010 Beta 2 availableUltimate is Team Server + Team Suite ... it costs so much because it comes with the TFS server. Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team System Team Suite (with MSDN Premium)[^]
-
VS2010 Beta 2 availableIt's very close to the previous pricing, it's just the names have changed. Change seems to confuse and scare people ;)
-
VS2010 Beta 2 availableIsn't that just Pro, Team and Team Suite? In which case they are priced the same as with VS2008?
