Good point, Mycroft :-) However, this is a for a test automation script. The automated test script needs to validate cell values on the grid (UI) as it navigates through the application under test. There are no failures.. only extended learning opportunities.

The biggest problem with plasma is that they gradually lose brightness over time. Most manufacturers gradually increase the drive current to compensate, but they do it on a schedule that does not actually measure the dimming. So you can get an over bight image or a dimmer image depending on the actual loss vs the manufacturers schedule. But eventually the picture will start to dim. Probably beyond the average users "useful life", but still a consideration. Both the drive electronics and bulbs for florescent backlit LCD's are huge variables. Some last forever, others only a few years. The LED backlight's themselves should last "forever", but LED TV have not been around long enough to see if there are any problems with the drive electronics. The biggest advantage of LED's will be local dimming to improve the black level. But not many manufacturers are implementing this feature. Thank you for the reply and link, Dave. The "C" dll passes a "char*" as input parameter to the VB.NET dll. The VB.NET dll "receives" this input param as a "String" object. This String object is not manipulated/modified by the VB.NET dll - essentially it is a path to a file that it reads and performs a base64 conversion. The base64 converted "String" object is then passed back to the "C" dll.

The worst part is that they serve warm beer after work. :beer:

IMHO, you and Warren Buffet are correct. I'd actually have thought for one day every month would have been OK. That way better analysis of stocks worth would be done rather than silly speculation by buyers. Also the markets being closed doesn't stop private deals.
