Been programming since the late 60's. ASM - fortran - cobol - pascal - ada - C - C++. I started C++ using C Terp from Bell labs. If you are not familiar with that old doggie it took C++ syntax and turned out C code to feed to cc. Ah - those were the days. I never bothered learning any of the net stuff with the exception of CGI because until now I really had no need to and to me it seemed a bit of a backwards step to move from C++ to VB or C#. I saw a Discovery show on this particular subject a few months ago. Apparently, the jury is still debating on what phenomenon is the real culprit. Both sides had seemingly good arguments. There is a TimeDataStamp field in the IMAGE_FILE_HEADER if you want to traverse the PE file format of your executable. That field indicates when the linker created the actual executable. There are a few good articles in MSDN by Matt Pietrek regarding a program called PEDUMP. You can use the code from PEDUMP in order to get to that field pretty easily.

Put it in an edit ctrl and stream it out as rtf maybe?
