You really have to be careful, more often than not any info you find on spammers or anyone else up to nefarious purpose on the internet is actually forged or faked or being used without the person's knowledge and you just end up becoming part of the problem. Better to report it to the isp.

About midway through the game I kept thinking how much the storyline was like the movie Event Horizon[^]. In case you haven't seen it (and I don't recommend it because it wasn't a very good movie), the storyline of the movie is that someone creates what is essentially a teleportation device (the first of it's kind) to allow interplanetary travel. The first ship of it's kind is is called the "Event Horizon", and when it returns from it's jump no one on the ship is responding so a second crew is sent to check out the situation. Instead of travelling to another point in our universe, ship had traveled to hell and back. The original crew has been slaughtered. The creator of the teleportation device (who is along with the second crew) goes crazy. These are the parallels I saw with the Doom 3 plot: a "first of it's kind" teleportation device goes awry and instead of travelling to another location in our universe, it teleports to hell; people are slaughtered when this happens (in Doom 3 and Event Horizon there are dead bodies everywhere and the walls are covered with blood); people are experiencing what appear to be hallucinations and hear disembodied voices; the creator of the teleportation device goes crazy and tries to take everyone into hell (in Event Horizon, the teleportation creator tries to take the second crew to hell; in Doom 3 he tries to bring hell to earth). The point of my post being: you can create bad code with other language constructs as well. (I even forgot the most prominent ones: switch, break, continue) It is harder to implement reuse by spaghetti jumps without goto's, but still fairly simple to write badly structured code. (did you ever use a fall through without a //fallthrough comment? gotcha!) Neither C nor C++ are languages that are designed to keep you safe and warm.
