I now own my 3rd Vostro and they've been reliable machines (2 laptops, 1 desktop). Until you've owned one, you don't possess the right to bad mouth it.

    T tchris

I got my boss to purchase a DAS for me a little over 3 years ago. I really like it! I'm an old IBM guy so I really like to know when I've pressed a key. The DAS makes me feel like I'm on an IBM keyboard again!

  • Anyone using a standing desk?
    T tchris

My first attempt at getting a standing desk at work ended up with my carpenter-minded boss saying, "I could build you one". Not the best option at the time. So when my new boss took over, a standing desk was one of my first requests. I ended up with an Ergodesk standing desk. It's sturdy and it was one of the first entrants into the standing desk arena. It is sturdy but that comes at a price - I have to raise and lower it myself by turning knobs and re-tightening them. Since I was one of the first to get a standing desk, several others have requested them. Our entity has chosen Varidesk for the ease of raising and lowering the desk, which is key to actually using it. If it's a pain to raise and lower it, you just won't do it. When we all went home to work because of the plague  , I purchased a pneumatic desk from Office Depot, which has been surprisingly good! Sitting is the new smoking, so kudos to you for looking for healthy options!

We use Entrust and so do some of our banking partners. Their cloud based management tool allows us to manage things once we've order the first time around. We used VeriSign but found that Entrust was just as good and was a little cheaper.

ESPN Score Center, if you're a sports junkie like me, is pretty cool. I also use Siri to set reminders and overall, it's pretty accurate. I would not send texts using Siri until you have a chance to review them first :-O I downloaded some Bible apps that make reading and searching much easier(YouVersion is one of the best) and I use those everyday.

Seems I had heard that about Churchhill - I was not aware of Jefferson. Seems like somewhere I heard that Washington did as well. So are you pursuing getting a stand up desk where you're at now?

I didn't even think about the digestion part of it (I have occasional bouts of constip... :-O ). I can see where it could really help. I have thought about bringing some dumbells to work but have never done it. If I can start standing instead of sitting, it might be easier to grab a dumbell for a mini-set as well. I certainly could use the calorie burn ;)
