Well - a perfect way to assign oneself perfection. Falls back, of course, into that conservative trope that 'you and people who think like you' all could easily walk-on-water. Anyone who upsets your claim just isn't part of the party and you can thus continue your claim of perfection. That is the mentality of those who have justified butchering of innocents for pretty much all recorded history.
ZurdoDev wrote:
Never even heard of that until now. Just proves that your assumptions about me are way off.
No - just proves your realm of information is limited in scope to that which supports what you want to be reality. Ya know - devotees of islam call themselves the religion of peace . . . - Jews have a call for genocide (against Amelek)* - protests kill catholics and both burn 'heathens' at the stake. Get off that high horse - it's dead and has been beaten beyond recognition long ago. * at least Jews don't have the "chuztpah" to claim to be "the" religion of (love, peace, other nice-sounding nouns and adjectives) and apparently do not have any dogma that demands you must be one of them to go to heaven.

Interesting. So, now you are saying that I am responsible for people misrepresenting something I believe in. And you just got through telling Majerus that shouldn't happen. Hypocrite much!!?

Does anyone agree with me that Nike is really run by a bunch of assholes? If these[^] assail anyone's sensibilities about the era of slavery in US History then I have one additional suggestion for Nike and all those who revel in finding offense everywhere: don't y'all wear no cotton as it may remind you of dem ol' cotton fields a-back home. Apologies to other assholes for dragging them into this mess.

Not fully comprehended by you. I'm telling you that YOU misrepresent what you (claim to) believe in. In fact - now that I think of it - a group of christians who believed in what you claim it represents were ostracized were banished from their New World colony. They needed to set up their own colony, Rhode Island, to be safe. They actually took nothing from the natives unless they bought it. But, as I noted, they were persecuted by the 'real' christians and had to flee.
Here - since you'll never look it up, but for other readers:Quote:
Roger Williams (c. 21 December 1603 – between 27 January and 15 March 1683)[1] was a Puritan minister, theologian, and author who founded the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. He was a staunch advocate for religious freedom, separation of church and state, and fair dealings with American Indians, and he was one of the first abolitionists.[2][3]
So we know how things go in reality.

Nope. Neo-Nazis have co-opted the flag and during a time of growing racist white nationalism, Nike made a smart decision
Before the oath, Trump has managed to surpass 2nd term Nixon for paranoia, 2nd term Reagan for corruption & 2nd term Bush for incompetence.--R. Schooley Frank Wilhoit: “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition …There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.” The president fired the FBI director to obstruct a federal investigation into possible collusion with a foreign power to fix an election. - Jesse Berne
When did this "co-opting" take place?
The Beer Prayer - Our lager, which art in barrels, hallowed be thy drink. Thy will be drunk, I will be drunk, at home as it is in the tavern. Give us this day our foamy head, and forgive us our spillage as we forgive those who spill against us. And lead us not to incarceration, but deliver us from hangovers. For thine is the beer, the bitter and the lager, for ever and ever. Barmen.

When they push their views, particularly religious views, upon others around them - they violate one of the great principles upon which this country was founded. They are destroying a supporting foundation of the greatness - and thus not only hate it but are its enemy. And, of course, those that want to buy an arsenal of weapons, hold up in some compound (in Idaho, perhaps?) and decide they don't have to live by the laws of the land - and got the weapons to defend the right to be separatists (how is that different, than, say, islamic seperatist anywhere else in the world?). Pick and choose amendments and rights for others? They hate this country. They want to make it into something else - and it's not into anything good - except of course for them.

a) what does what religious people do have anything to do with non-liberals? b) what does pushing your religious views on others have to do with hating your country? edit: especially of the country was founded on the religion in question

Um, yeah, that's what a minority of these people believe for sure, but what does that have to do with hating your country? Why does insisting on having your (perceived) rights mean you hate your country? People who live in free countries and demand freedoms are taken away....that's who hates their country.

I think it's relatively important because your hero, President Barack Obama, prominently flew the "Betsy Ross" flag at his inaugurations. I like pointing out your endless hypocrisy.

LOL you really have no idea what the word means. Now if Obama was a white supremist and used that flag as a symbol of his white supremacy, you might have a point. He isn't and didn't. And you don't have a point.

Right-wing religious asswipes have, for example, put obstacles and are trying remove a woman's right to chose to have a baby or not (even when their papa raped them). Pushing your religious views on others who don't share them, especially trying to legislate it, is trying to undermine the very fabric of the nation. And as for what religion the country was founded on - the fact that the FIRST amendment forbids the establishment of any religion for the country shows the founders wise enough to understand every step towards theocracy is, indeed, a step towards hell. If you're a big 2nd Amendment supporter, perhaps you'll figure out part of the reason for the second amendment is to allow defense of the FIRST amendment! As for the arsenal nuts? You claim it's just a few - but they do get more headlines then just regular boring people. Is it really inconceivable to you that most liberals are similarly far more mainstream then the ones who make the news and talk-show circuit? Hopefully, if you don't get it yet, you'll eventually realize that everyone's shit stinks. And as far as making America great, again? That will occur when we get a president who is more dedicated to serving the country than serving himself. We see the crap that a lying cheating narcissist is doing - he tells you it's wonderful in his pre-K version of English and you really want it to be true.

No they didn't. They caved to a ridiculous request from an idiot. The Betsy Ross flag is associated with the American revolution not white supremacists. Only idiots would give neo-Nazis any value at all. I certainly don't.
