Clinton's diminishing legacyAmazing what short memories these folks have even when they were saying it themselves. It's so bad in the US we have no healthcare instead you just walk in to most hospitals and you get taken care of. Hmm note we have the worlds fattest poor people and well then they complain about that too. Nobody wants to go back to New Orleans well duh why would they it's below sea level in the damaged sections. You can't win with whiners they will find a way to whine one way or the other...

DarfurThe worlds governments are full of frauds and liars. You have to watch out for the ones that make pretense towards high moral values. I suppose someone should ask the Chinese to do it after all the big bucks they spent on their military of late...

IE7 integration?Interesting I use FF 2.0 and hardly even bothered to look at or use that builtin toolbar search feature. I was about going to customize it out of existence. Now I have a reason to keep it and eventually get around to using it.

 Reading the title of your post I was inclined to add "Tell me something we don't already know" but seeing the above quoted line... well all I can do is chuckle and then I voted five

It sucks more and moreI see that issue a lot sometimes I believe it is my broadband connection being not so broad momentarily. Sometimes it does seem to a problem here or at the least in between me and here. It is not constant so I hadn't bothered to complain about it as the CP is free.

Free Software Foundation launches FUD campaign. Click here to allow the Microsoft add-on to run...It really shouldn't matter about the platform on which it runs. The platform should actually only be Mozilla not windows or linux. That is what you are writing when authoring a Mozilla/Firefox add-in you should be referencing XPCom not platform API. So while I didn't delve to deeply into the code I actually figure this is really a lack of parity on the FF 2.0 edition I just installed on my copy of Debian. As I said in my original post the first thing I noticed was the font display problem with FF 2.0. Most everything else I use in this installation of Debian seems fine as far as font display is concerned.

Intel, partners to make electronic QuranShajeel wrote:
i think idea is to make the equipment handy like walkman or ipod so that it can be used any where and i think it can be very successful in muslim countries.
Alright that makes a bit more sense then just an inexpensive PC

Free Software Foundation launches FUD campaign. Click here to allow the Microsoft add-on to run...Yeah but my point was that they didn't seem to be able to achieve parity under the Debian edition. That isn't their fault that is just what is lacking in the free OS compared to what is available under Windows. The addin is just Xul and Javascript so I guess there is just no parity even though Javascript is referencing Mozilla objects. Something strange in that one don't you think?

Intel, partners to make electronic QuranNot really that big a deal there are plenty of online and downloadable Quran now. I found a bunch of English language translations off of Wiki one site had Arabic, English, French, etc translations side by side. I think USC has online English translations of the Quran and a fair number of Hadith... but what do I know of Hadith (not too much to be perfectly honest) So since they are online I suppose all one needs is an inexpensive PC, an internet connection, and a browser. I suppose the inexpensive PC is a new one for Intel but I thought someone else was trying to provide inexpensive PC's already? Here start with the Wiki entry for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quran[^] I think they need people willing to to do the Arabic language translation work over there, might be a useful service to render (I can't as I can't read or write Arabic)

Free Software Foundation launches FUD campaign. Click here to allow the Microsoft add-on to run...Funny ain't it oh well they are loonies over there. Here I upgraded the browser to FF 2.0 on a copy of Debian (which I run under Virtual PC) just to get the same browser I use under XP. Boy was I wrong the fonts are horrible under X (time to fiddle fiddle fiddle about) Then I downloaded an extension I like under XP with FF 2.0. Guess what half of the features under Linux were unavailable. It was like the code was written with conditionals that went like this If (OS == Windows) { TonsOfFunctionality(AllFeatures); } else { MessageBox.Show ("Sorry consider getting a copy of Windows"); LimitedFunctionalityAvailable(NoFeatures); } FSF a great idea gone astray...

How often do you reinstall Windows?Nice list I do all server/distributed process development under virtualization. However inevitably or eventually I will screw up the host for one reason or the other. So good old imaging to the rescue for the host. Reconfiguring the previous image can take a few hours but only if I have a few difficult additions. I install Office and two versions of Visual Studio on a different drive to save space on the image file and speed up the re-imaging process.

How often do you reinstall Windows?I don't well maybe that isn't accurate. I make a ghost image of my base install and update it periodically. It is nice to go back to a square one installation after you screwed it up doing whatever too it... With ghost I am back to about 95% functional in 15 minutes. I keep trying to get it closer to 100% but there is always something left undone or unaccounted for with the image...

TailgatersA long time back before I quit acting as if the daily commute a road race I used this trick. I would occasionally try to do an imitation of a broken vehicle. Basically staying in lane I would make my vehicle sway back and forth in the lane to look like it was out of control. Hard to explain it much better then that but I noticed it worked. The fellow behind tailgating would back off and people in the adjacent lanes would slow down to get away from me. That afforded me an opportunity to shift lanes where the opportunity didn't previously exist and I could accelerate away from the tailgater too provided they didn't have a faster vehicle. The trick usually doesn't work more then twice then someone is likely to give you chase.

WOOT Vista!I disagree it isn't that Windows installer is no good just that some of the people authoring Windows Installer installation shouldn't be... creating installations. The biggest offenders are the people creating the installations for MS... Used properly Windows Installer works great.

WOOT Vista! This reminds me of an earlier post about a month or so back... Are they smoking crack at Microsoft.... tell you what I am beginning to think so. I think I will go and re-examine some of the potential of moving over to Linux, which doesn't thrill me, but I think MS is starting to lose it :sigh: :wtf:

Silly recruiters:laugh: I get a number of these unsolicited recruiting email messages,I don't have my resume visible and hasn't been for a while. Most of the time these particular types of recruiters end up in the junk email box and rarely are their requirements even a partial match on whats contained in my resume. I suppose that I consider that variety to definitely be spam...

Yes, it has been meaningless to the left which basically seeks to destroy marriage such that the individual is bonded above all else to the state. They have worked hard to destroy the social institutions that bring us together on a personal level (like church and marriage) while promoting an expansive and cold state (with indisputable power) as its replacement. The concept of the "commune" is still alive and well among leftists.
Not exactly my point but it gets close, my point is that the majority of this issue revolves around money...
