Not unreasonable really. Employer provides you with wifi, and some sort of terminal server access, something like citgo. You access your VM, do your coding. Actually they don't even need to provide you an office or wifi, you can do it from home. Need 2 factor authentication from your employer a vm and some method of RDC and that's really it.

Unless I see Steve Smith with his roll of duct tape standing next to the snow mobile I will not believe.

If you don't mind me asking what was the cost, and did the after market AC work OK?

Problem is 2nd hand hoses tend to be in bad shape. I have registered on a "junk yard network" (6$) for the hoses I'm looking for but no responses yet. Thanks.

I'm finding it impossible to find replacement AC hoses for my old car/truck/van. The old vehicles are freon based and apparently hose parts for the old systems are near impossible to get. I have no options, other than to seek out a machinist to make the parts. Any suggestions? And no I don't want to buy a new car.

My vehicles are all over 20 years old. The mechanics don't know how to plug in there diagnostic equipment into "the computer". Usually I feel like a project manager on the phone talking with the mechanic as to what the best way to identify the problem is. I'm looking forward to the day when the car black boxes are wireless aware and a cop can shut your engine off remotely. In the future everyone will have LoJack functionality whether they want it or not... and everyone will wish they hadn't got rid of their 1972 Fairlane. :)

Wasn't the last time a royal was called George, wasn't Brittan at war with the UK AND France. I think this is a b*** slap to America and France. Change his name to Bob or else I will not watch any more shows from the BBC.

Why should anyone outside the audience area have a look at it if it doesn't pertain to them? What would that achieve for the person standing the app up, or for the audience it doesn't apply to?

I don't think I can stop people using a proxy, in the special case of a DOS attack they would be limited to a proxy(s) or bots in the country of origin, and the logic of the firewall should also provide coverage. In the case of the "great unwashed" don't need to use it so why provide an access? Reducing attack surface is the goal.

Web application has no use outside of US. I'm thinking of getting a firewall rule in place to restrict it to just US access. Couldn't hurt to reduce attack surface I'm thinking, and it doesn't cost me anything [assumption]. Any utility in doing this?

When I was a young tad pole we went to the ORCAD forums if we were cheap SOB's and xlinks if we won the contract. But that was 30 years ago. Has Boolean logic changed much since then... Let the flames begin; Your Grandpa.

On a smaller scale I just changed office locations after 10 years, just down the hall. There was a bit of stuff to move, but I'm glad I kept my cardinal rule since I was a contractor. "Never keep more in your office than you can take out the front door with you in 2 shopping bags." Much of the other stuff belonged to my employer. What was cool was I found a Token Ring to "RJ-45" cat 5 adapter. The network tech across the hall wanted to to frame and put on his wall.
