Streaming audio/video to TV set -
just finished PS:TThat depends on the ending. It's been about 4 years or so since i last played it, but from memory there were something like 3 different endings depending on how you played that last section

Student arrested / Terroristic zombie threats in KentuckyIt's really strange that i read this thread and check it out. I send the links to some friends and now both links are dead - anyone got any ideas on what happened here?

MS Explorer 4 - Tilt button - Drivers programm. ?I've got 2 of these and they are great except for one thing - what moron decided to take the "clicks" of the wheel??? - there's no indication on either of the 2 I have that it has moved enough to activate, and it's driving me insane. I'll be playing a game, go to change weapons and it will jump 2 weapons or, even worse, I won't move the wheel far enough to activate it *sigh* Other than that though, they are very nice - I'm just hoping they bring back the clicks in the next version. And there's no setting for defining what the tilt does, only what the buttons do :(

Slipstreaming away...If you want some real fun (and have the hardware) try making a bootable XP DVD - It took me about 4 days of playign around to get it working, until I finally worked out that even though the disc will hold more than 4gig, it won't boot or install properly (different errors depending on how full the disc is) unless there is less than 4gig of data on there Does anyone have info / links on how to slipstream drivers into the package? - ie, hard drive controllers

Memory issuesI had a similar problem - turns out it wasn't the memory speed that was the problem, but how many "sides" of memory I could use. All the memory I had was double sided, and my board would only take a maximum of 4 sides of memory :(

Space combat sim lovers out there?They are a bit old now, but if you can find FreeSpace 1 / 2 http://www.volition-inc.com [^]they are probably what you're after Another one to check out is X2: The Threat http://www.egosoft.com/[^]

Doom3Actually I'd only give it a 6.5 / 10. Good points :) The engine is nice. :) The "atmosphere" is well done :) The movement physics "feel" right :) The story is apprpriate Bad points :zzz: The traps are a bit obvious (ie walk on some armour - oh, am attacked) - 80% of the time :zzz: The AI is poor - the only "intelligence" i've seen is an enemy ducking behind cover, but it all looks scripted - no real intelligence there :zzz: The weapons are pathetic - no real hitting power, and the minigun fires at the same speed as the machinegun??? - who made that choice. If I have a minigun I want painless from predator 1 :-D overall it's a game that was worth buying, but I'm hoping that a) the mod community kicks in and b) i actually get time to really play it :)

Good Notepad replacement -
SP2the best one i've found is at www.bink.nu/bootcd[^] you have to do a little bit of translating from older versions of nero to what's current, but nothing major (screenshots are a little different is all) The one thing I found was that as soon as I push the dvd over 4 gig it stopped working as a bootable xp disc - working this out is what took 2 days :( THIS[^] is the most important pic as you have to make sure you use no emulation and change the sector load count to 4, but other than that you can add anything you want up to 4 gig in size You also need to download the xp bootsector for the cd here [^]

SP2I know the feeling about time taken - I've just spent 2 days making a bootable XP sP2 dvd with all the drivers, utilities and apps used on my network - only just have it working now. Most of the time taken though was waiting for the dvd to burn at 2x :(

SP2There is only one proper way to install a service pack 1) backup all data 2) slipstream the service pack into a bootable disc 3) blow away current os and do a full re-install 4) look on in wonder as the os works :) I have great misgivings about installing service packs (that replace 90% of the os system files) on a system that has who knows what software installed on - it's just not worth the risk

Atari STThis is the best site I know of for Atari ST info http://www.atari.st[^] It has links to emulators, some of which run in a window from memory

Emails Found!Backing up emails from Outlook Express is a pain, but can be done easily once you know how Open up outlook express, select the inbox, and bring up its properties. In the dialog that opens, it will tell you the full path of the OE datastore, go to that folder, and copy the entire folder (after closing OE :) ) to a safe dir for the re-install Export your address book (why can you export an address book but not your mail???) Once you have re-installed you can then bring your mail back using the import from OE data store as you have found BTW, for various versions of OE you have to grab different folders - ie, for OE6, just the folder the mailboxes are in is fine, for other versions you have to grab a few folders higher *sigh* If all else fails and you can't get OE to get your mail, install eudora, tel lit to import the mailstore you have backed up, then get OE to import from eudora As you might have guessed, I have dealt with this problem a lot :(

Rebate HellNot sure how often this works, but a lot of the time you can get them to knock the rebate off the price at the checkout - that way they have the fun of getting the rebates outta the companies, and saves you lots of hassles

Virus rantTell me about it. I used to set this up for some of my smaller clients and also email a notice to me as an admin. This was alright until some of the newer virii started coming in @ hundreds per day - now i switch all emailed replies off and just check log files

WinzipYou have to change the "Confirm after download" setting to be switched on. Open an explorer window, go to tools/options. In here find the entry for "zip", click advanced and then click the "Confirm" checkbox. note: this is in windows XP - have a look in the same area on other OS's

Accessing properties as an arrayThanx - this is exactly what I needed. I only need it because I'm converting some VB code and it does it this way. What is the FxCop mentioned?

Accessing properties as an arrayIs it possible to have a propety as an array? If so, how do I access it?? I usually create my properties in this manner
class Object{
private string sProperty;public string Property{
get{return sProperty;}
set{sProperty = value;}
}Can I do the following, and how do I properly access the array
class Object{
private string[] sProperty; // Dimension it elsewherepublic string[] Property{ // how do I access the array in the get/set methods?
get{return sProperty;}
set{sProperty = value;}
