Extra guards watching you at airports? + Extra screenings at airport? = more power? Huh? They do these things already. I could dig but I don't think I need to. Any procedure by this agency deemed un-neccessary could be ended by actions taken by the people's direct representitives (the House) I bet.

wolfbinary wrote: Killing on the battle field is legal. And they're extending the same logic you use to say that to claim what they're doing is legal. A) Do the conventions actually apply to the person being water boarded? B) Does water boarding specifically fall under the laws which apply? And what exactly is prosecution by the Obama administration going to fix? More interesting, who are you going to prosecute? I'm not saying it works, I'm saying it's not conclusively illegal, and it's far from conclusive which of the fuckers involved should be held responsible. And from the fact I call them fuckers you can probably guess how much I agree with what they did. The private individual is at least responsible for forcible restraint, assault and probably a few more items I can't come up with off the top of my head. Yet you're not trying to convict them for that, and that's the logic hole they found to escape out of.

Very good, but bets this doesn't stop him for a second. He's still getting whatever weird psychological thrill he gets from all this. I vote for the application of electro-shock therapy. You know, the type that was later discarded as being nothing but torture. L u n a t i c F r i n g e

I found some stuff on wiki about crops created by selective breeding resulting in new species but didnt find a comprehensive list. And yes, I could have been lying, but anyway, it shows that man has intentionally increased biodiversity as well as reduced it. :) And in anycase, the point of my post is that if they do to Biodiversity what they did to GW then its going to loose public support. Even I paid for TF2 :) (and I don't usually pirate music .. because I don't listen any) On CD even (Orange Box) - but I should probably add, the installer on the cd was rubbish. In the end I just downloaded it from Steam in less time than I spent cursing at the installer. But all that happened years ago I usually play on the No Heroes UK servers, in case you feel like killing me :)

Point 1) You are a pedant. Point 2) You are still a pedant! :) Oh come on, I abbreviated it to make the post shorter but its still sufficiently accurate for the point of the post which is that its OK for the Tuva tribe to slash and burn but not OK for westerners. Answer THAT point, since that is what my post was about. And for your later assertion that GW is assumed to be happening by the scientific community, can I ask you which warming you are refering to? Post 1975, post 1750, post 15,000 BC? ;) You see it is warming and cooling. It just depends where you pick your starting point. This is the view held by the scientific community. In any case, its the cause, and CO2 sensitivity thats the issue, not warming perse, because if the sensitivity is low, warming is a good thing. (and given that temps seems loosly tied to CO2 that would appear to be the case) Morality is indistinguishable from social proscription
