Nish, That joke captures it perfectly. The way things are becoming more and more dumbed down for the "average" developer, soon the only people writing native code will be the folks at microsoft! Rich

I think you'll find at least a handful of developers at a handful of other companies (Sun, Apple, IBM, Oracle etc.) who still write native code :) regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry! K(arl) wrote: oh, and BTW, CHRISTIAN ISN'T A PARADOX, HE IS A TASMANIAN!

      Joe and Mary in 1999

Joe : I've used some inline asm to speed up that function. Mary : Joe, you know assembly? Joe : Yeah, I do. Mary : Oh Joe, you are so smart.

      Joe and Mary in 2007

Joe : I've used some P/Invoke to speed up my C# class. Mary : Joe, you know Win API? Joe : Yeah, I do. Mary : Oh Joe, you are so smart. Regards, Nish

I gotta ask, are those supposed to be jokes? They didn't make me laugh. In fact, I winced. They reminded me of old black-n-white movies where you can definitely tell its an old movie by their speech patterns.

They "lust", and it has nothing to do with a woman's brains. ------- sig starts "I've heard some drivers saying, 'We're going too fast here...'. If you're not here to race, go the hell home - don't come here and grumble about going too fast. How about a new CP icon for irony? I suppose Wink could be used, but I'm not sure all people understand the concept of winking to indicate that one is joking.
