I have been calculating the timing values for machine code routines recently and ran into that problem.

In scientific mode, click the UP ARROW button. All of the function buttons are replaced. x^2 becomes x^3, sin becomes arcsin, and log becomes ln.

I'm glad others found the answer for you. I was going to suggest spinning up a Windows 7 VM so you could use the old calculator :-D

Luckily, Calc.exe runs fine from early Windows versions if you like that format. I keep another apps folder for just these old app things. I also Like the old, and simpler, PHOTOED.exe. Note you may need a few dlls to go along with them.
