Hello, I can recommend redmine. https://www.redmine.org I have used it for years as a free install on a local linux box. Stores its data within PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB. Links/integrates to various source control programs. I have it linked to svn and git. So you can see the check ins against the tickets. And review the changes without ever leaving redmine. There are hosts for it too, though i've never used them so can't suggest one. Hope that helps. Cheerio

Yes - but that doesn't really help. The best I could do would be to refuse to install or give some kind of warning if the bitness of Office doesn't match the bitness of the host app - it doesn't solve the underlying problem.

I would also say that buying a new machine is a better bet. You can give the old one to someone else in your family who has less intensive needs, use it for a backup file server or just keep it as a reserve, which you can't do if you gut it, and it is likely to be of a similar cost if not cheaper. I play Planetside 2 which is fairly intensive, and the community view there is that a high end i5 is as effective as an i7, because the game engine isn't fully capable of using 4 cores to the max. That's probably true for other modern games too. A large part of the game experience is dependent on the GPU, extra money is probably better spent there.

I strongly suspect the issue is Realtek. Cheap sound devices frequently have cheap drivers, that don't fully support what you want to do. Well, I sat down and tried a WPF tutorial. All seemed very simple, very much like Winforms and I was beginning to become optimistic. However, when I run (debug) the application all I get is a black page, a crashed browser and no error message. For some reason I was not surprised as it brought back painful memories of problems I have had with other MS technologies.

This is essentially a debugging tool, since our users are rubbish at describing what they were doing when a problem / crash happened (aren't they all?). I started off logging to memory, then dumping the session log and call stack in my "crash-catcher". But then I was concerned about memory usage and likelihood-of-failure at the crucial moment, and obviously then my log wouldn't be available in non-crash situations. Since it is a CAD program and logging actions happen only a little more frequently than you can do things with a mouse, I don't think the overhead will be significant - but I'll probably have to do some timings to prove it to my boss! I'll also chuck in a settings switch to turn logging off if necessary, that should keep everyone happy :)

I remember reading an article on drudge report a couple of years ago about an online retailer with horrible customer service in Brooklyn NY They did that on purpose, because people would complain and post bad reviews about them, and there site landings would go through the roof, and sales just kept rising higher and higher.
