The menu is a Telerik usercontrol called radMenu. The items of the menu are objects that contain different properties (on the serverside) and are rendered as tables after the page loads. When clicking on a menu item a Javascript like __doPostBack(_telerikControlID_,_itemID_) is called. where itemID is the ID of the table that contains the items. What I need to access is a property of that menu item clicked. The itemID isn't helping me and the needed property is not rendred in the page. What the ad blocker does is wrap the ad in a span element and mark it as hidden through css. So the add gets counted as displayed, and CP gets the money per view (if that's how the contract is made). Now as far as clicking on ads, I think that's up to me to decide especially that the vertical ads displayed are the same as the horizontal ones in the header. Microsoft Dynamics formerly Microsoft Business Solutions covers a lot of territory. Their primary products are accounting solutions such as Great Plains, Axapta, and Navision, though that isn't the entire list. CRM is also a Dynamics product, as is Business Portal. They are all integrated to some extent with Office products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, and they come with built in support for SharePoint Services. There are a great many ISV or 3rd party products being developed for them as well. Most of the work in the field is with these ISVs or in integration and customization for the end users. You don't have to know the product you are working with, but having some knowledge of it is a big advantage. We use Confluence as our corporate Wiki for a small distributed company and we are quite happy with it. It supports exporting to PDF or Word docs which we use quite frequently. For non-open-source use it costs money ($1200 if I remember), has a WYSIWIG editor that mostly works and lots of useful plugins. Easy to install standalone or as part of an existing Tomcat/Apache install, I have it running proxied behind IIS on a single server box. Free evaluation period, so give it a try. -N

Actually that's a good point. Long-running queries will take Schema Stability locks (shown in SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager as Sch-S) which prevent schema updates from being made until the locks are released. Stability. What an interesting concept. -- Chris Maunder
