That's what I was trying (I believe). I had it load the login page, and was able to get it to fill out the user id/password, and submit. I then used the F12 tool in Internet Explorer to find the ids of objects that would load after login, and I put in a wait for those, but it always fails. Maybe I'm not waiting long enough like you said. I'll increase the timeout and see what happens.

Automated UI Testing? -
Automated UI Testing? We have a third party web app that the business uses, and we support. We have many hooks into, and a lot of web services built around it to get data in and out. The hardest thing we have is regression testing the third party app. Does anyone know of any good tools to automate the UI testing of this application? We have tried Selenium WebDriver, but due to the way the application is built, it doesn't work. It has a lot of javascript injection of items into its pages. Thanks!

Restarting WindowsMy work laptop I only ever put in sleep mode. I keep everything open so I don't have to spend the first 20 minutes of the day reloading my projects in Visual Studio and reloading all my scripts in SQL Server Management Studio. Rebooting kills me. :-P

Workplace going downhillJust overheard one of my fellow developers asking the manager what the latest version of a product going to production is. Neither of them knew. Shouldn't they both know? Time to update the resume.

Designate a meeting-free day to keep productivity upFridays at my employer have been designated meeting free. The C-Levels love it. Sadly, project managers see that as the only opening to have project meetings, so they are meeting days, just like the other ones. :(

CryingI didn't even think of having her keep her temps until she can buy her own insurance. That's ingenius. :)

Lavabit closesI've seen articles that were trying to spell doom for all US cloud hosting as losing a lot of business due to the knowledge that the NSA can look at all of it. Even if it's not true, or you aren't hosting stuff even remotely interested to them, the damage is done. I doubt it will truly hurt any of the big ones.

Are you doing anything worthwhile?About two years ago I started working for a non-profit healthcare company. I love how little money we keep compared to for profits. It's fulfilling, and everything we do makes the customer facing units' jobs easier, so they can spend more time on members, and less on the systems.

Is 50 too old to be learning LinuxI plan on learning by installing Ubuntu as my internet gateway (dhcp) server. Then I plan on blocking certain things based on MAC Address so my kids stay off of certain things on the internet. (Or at least make them work for it.) Never done any of it, so it should be a fun experiment.

Films what I watched this weekendThis weekend I was able to watch the following: Man of Steel - I quite like it. Never did see the first reboot that everyone hated. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - Just fun movies to watch when you aren't expecting much. Dawn of the Dragon Hunter - Horrible movie, but I like to watch the horrible ones every now and again to torture my kids.
