MSDN subscription gives you access to a pot-load of Microsoft software for "free". Depending on the level of subscription, you get more or less access. MSDN "help" is the documenation only. Which is online for free. It can also be installed on your local harddrive / netdrive for "quicker" access. However, I always use the online version since it is often more accurate and is updated as time goes on.

The police had a couple of police dogs stolen from outside the station today and are appealing for any information. They have a couple of leads but nothing else.

I would suggest copying them to a hard drive as ISO files (there are a number of free programs that can do this: Magic iso & magic disk[^] come to mind (I've used both on XP and W7 without problems). Magic disk is a cd/dvd emulator that adds virtual drives so you an mount the disk image as if it were a real CD. the virtual drives read the ISO faster than a real CD, which is nice...
Damn you. We must fight. Possibly to some West Side Story. ;P Actually, sod that.... We fight to Motley Crue and Kiss.

yeah, raising the member level required to vote an article would prevent fake accounts only for this purpose to a greater extend.
All member rating should count, but a member with no reputation should have the voting power of a chocolate teapot. (It counts, but does very very little to the average score) Not sure how biased this currently is...

Of course. It's what men do. First thing in the morning, we do the usual: scratch the fuzzy bits, grunt and rub scampi and lemon nik naks in the creases. Real men don't give a sh*t about the Lynx effect.
What have you done? :( The secret is out! You are ordered to burn your jock strap this instant!!!!
Your point of view is fine. But I would rather go with William. If you do it for a poster for the first time and it is not repeated by him/her, then it makes sense. I usually see that the posters don't care until we make them realize. (I am one of them, when i was very new.. ;P ) Anyway I would invest my time doing something interesting rather than editing the post to just put a period/punctuation or remove a blank line..(I don't mean you when I am saying this but the people, William was talking about) :)

I myself tend to be independent, but there are some things that I agree with Obama on. And some things I don't. As far as I'm concerned, as long as it's civil, you can agree or disagree with me all you want. :) Life would be pretty friggen boring if we all agreed, and who's to say it'd run any smoother?
