Here is my take. All four southern states (Andhra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala) have different languages and different scripts. It's like Spain, Germany, France, Italy but all in same country. All northern states mostly speak Hindi (National language). Though some states have their own languages (ex: Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi). But one who knows Hindi language can survive easily in the North Indian states. So for educated person to survive in another state he/she must know English.

:cough: Yeah..I agree. :-D I would love to hear the story that you told to your wife. :-O I took my wife to Apple store on the launch day. But couldn't buy one. :) I couldn't decide between upgrade to my current iPhone 3G (assuming new iPhone model coming up in the summer) and iPad.

I second that.

You could buy iPad Wi-Fi version. Also all iPads are unlocked.

People who have phones with Verizon can now buy the iPad Wi-Fi version (with no contract). Take that AT&T. ;P

Have you consider uploading them to Picasa Web Albums? http://picasaweb.google.com Picasa: Use the downloadable Picasa software to upload videos up to 1 GB in size. I upload short videos that are taken from my camera to Picasa Web Albums. And every one back home can watch it with no problems.

Awesome!! But don't even think about cutting the cake. :-\

The New Media Team at NASA Ames Research Center has developed the first NASA iPhone application to deliver up-to-the-minute NASA content directly from Agency sources in one easy-to-use mobile platform. The software makes extensive use of built-in iPhone features and usability to offer NASA information in a clear and intuitive way. The application aggregates and delivers a compelling range of dynamically updated information, images and video links. The NASA App is available free of charge on the App Store from Apple directly to the iPhone and iPod Touch or within iTunes. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/iphone/index.html[^]

I was getting ready to leave for work. Then I switched on TV and watched news on CNN. Then I settled on the sofa for sometime and watched the 2nd plane hitting the second tower. :(( Initially I thought the first plane was accident and but when I watched the second one hit the tower then I realized something was off. After that I went to work, where everybody was talking about the accident (not attack). Around 11 am or so, our boss told everybody to evacuate building. (We were in 11th floor). Our building was designed by same guy who designed the WTC. http://www.believermag.com/issues/200811/?read=article_taylor[^] For few months, I had bad day dreams when I drove past our office. Like I look up the car window, I had visions that plane is hitting for our building.

http://www.boingboing.net/2009/08/31/did-google-street-vi.html[^] Weighing in on that post, an astute BB commenter noticed that if you do a Google Maps search for 1554 Walnut Avenue, Antioch, CA -- the address of the Antioch home where Garrido detained Jaycee Dugard (and her children, fathered by rape) -- you can see an overhead view of all the tents, tarps and sheds that Garrido's parole officer(s) and local police were too incompetent to bother checking, despite the fact that the guy was a convicted rapist. The overhead view in Google Maps has since been widely reported and blogged, so that's old news 4 days later.
