It is just becomming more and more useless every day for this exact reason (which has been getting progressively worse for about the last 5-6 years)... More people use it so they learn to exploit it...And the company is now focusing thier efforts on other areas/markets so they can't be hassled to fix it.

I actually like the tools that come with SQL Server 2008. The relationships viewer works great, and prints nicely for the design folder, and the browser tool gives me all I need to see about the nodes I'm viewing. Neither exports a pdf or doc file that I know of, however, so the value is limited. If I ever need to distribute my documentation, though, I plan to print it to a pdf creator program like CutePDF. I change the find options enough that even as a floater I always kept it full size. If I was using my home computer I'd have enough space to dock it seperately; but hell will freeze over before work starts buying 2560x1600 monitors for us. I wouldn't put it past them to decide that a single 30" tv with a dvi-hdmi converter would be as good as 2 20 inchish monitors since it would have the same total surface area while using less power though.
