Ravel H. Joyce wrote: That's a pleasingly un-Rethuglican-like opinion. First, I'm an Independent, not a Republican. Although I do generally vote Republican (lesser of two evils, imo). Second, most rank and file conservatives and center-rights (like me) are in fact indifferent to homosexuality as far as day to day BS goes. The harsh and often senseless anti-gay rhetoric you hear in the media usually comes from Christian fundies and hard-righters who feel that homosexuality is somehow damaging to society. Hard-line Muslims are also strongly against homosexuality. I see it this way: I personally find the thought of engaging in sex with another man to be rather revolting. However, I do not believe that my personal feelings on the matter should lead to the loss of freedom for others. To look at it from another angle, I am a meat eater. I love beef, poultry, pork, fish, venison, rabbit, etc etc. But the folks at PETA think me a monster for that very reason, and often launch propaganda campaigns to ban the consumption of meat. One who objects to eating meat is free to not eat meat. But don't try to stop me from having my deer steak or grilled chicken. XAlan Burkhart

Of course there is no guarantee of general fairness. That doesn't mean that no effort should be made though. And no, freedom is not fairness. Freedom for any entity leads to huge power imbalances, especially between those with deep pockets and those without. Even freedom just for actual people (excl. companies) would work slightly better, but a similar problem would still exist. And I hope you don't mean actual freedom, ie no rules at all, because that would mean chaos.

Yeah, probably not. It was all I could think of at the time though. Martin Fowler wrote: Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand.

Oakman wrote: Neutron offers to pay the tab. What does the bartender say?   "For you, no charge." Yeah, and then the proton offered to pay, and when asked by the bartender "are you sure", the proton answered "yes, I'm positive". Then a sad looking neutrino joins the others. "What's up with you?" asks the neutron. - "I've just been kicked out of church." Shocked the others demand, "Whatever for?" - The neutrino replies "Apparently I'm not supposed to have mass!" Then two quarks walk into the bar. One says to the bar tender, "I'll have a double bourbon, straight, and my bitch here will have his usual Miller Lite!" and slaps the other quark hard on the ass. The neutron leans over to the proton and whispers, "No need to guess who's the top and who's the bottom there then!" "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." (DNA)

Thank you! Why cannot MS say that, plainly, on the PowerShell home page? It would have to be obvious for me to see it as I loose interest after the first couple of paragraphs that have nothing to do with my problem. :sigh: Thanks again,

I would'nt like it, but I would'nt cry about it. Furthermore you would notice that the CP community will disagree with your text and act accordingly. Censurship is 'hiding' and allows for growth and development in secret. If it was out in the open people would be able to watch out for those things deemed socially unexceptable. Of course there's a gray area, I agree. Such texts are not appropriate for kids eg. Censurship is a topic on which we could have endless discussions ;) V.
