Where I work we have 100% of the developers that do stuff on their own after hours. Of course, since I am the only developer, that might skew your numbers a little bit... :-D

having had a fair amount of dealings with some of the, shall we say, less educated portions of our society over here, I can honestly say that this does not surprise me in the least. station fail as well. people are going to try and steal gas, fact of life. I cant remember the last time I went to a station over here that did not require prepay. its been a few years at least. The owners comment got me.. "prepay may not be far off". This guy has been getting ripped off on a regular basis and has not done it yet? wow.

it was assigned a static IP from day one of being setup. All of my servers are. turns out, I think it was a DHCP issue. Somebody adjusted one of the ranges so that it overlapped the ip of that server... On top of that, the reservation I had set(just in case) was removed as well. So another machine got that IP and caused no end of confusion... I fixed the dhcp ranges and the issue seems to have went away. No, I did not kill the guy that did it, yet.
