I am guessing that Iran is included in this group of Arabic countries as it is in the Middle East? The only thing is... Iran is not an Arabic country... “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.” ― Christopher Hitchens

While PHP has several issues that make it a somewhat amateurish language, it is really not in the same league of awfulness as trying to use ASP or ASP.net (non-MVC). I use PHP for my spare time web development, because it's really easy to find hosts that give you PHP/mySQL and you don't need any expensive tools, and it is quite easy to work with.

I wouldn't know, my website is very low traffic. That said I found they have very good service. A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station.... _________________________________________________________ My programs never have bugs, they just develop random features.

I really like the one with the genie. I have seen it before, but it is so apposite in a programming forum. :-D Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.

Well stay away if you can... We are developing customer software where actually the customer gets all source code and a license for further developing on the project. Now, if MS only sells VS2010 we have no good argument to keep 2008 around, and we also do not want to explain to the customer that at the end of our development, we will upgrade the project from 2008 to 2010, making it essentially un-editable on our side. So the simple but effective deprecation of old versions leaves us no choice, and it´s the same with Win XP vs. Win 7, Server 2003 vs 2008 etc. We have sub-suppliers who still cannot confirm that their software will run smoothly on Win 7 / Server 2008, forcing us to make manual downgrades which are costly and leave much of the available power (64bit, huge memory) unused. On the other Hand, Windows 7 seems to be a big leap forward. It´s attitude towards the user is much more optimistic and the useability has really improved. Stay away from Office 2007 & 2010 dough :) -- "The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up." Mark Twain

Your question's not completely clear. Are you asking where you can download Tomcat or Glassfish? Or are you asking if there are any websites that provide a free hosting service to run J2EE apps?

WE have PHP, Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl and Python as tags. We also have PHP as a colourisation option in the language dropdown while creating articles in the WYSIWYG editor. Plus, we also have PHP, Linux, MySQL, and Perl forums. I'm not sure where you get the impression there's a bias against PHP and LAMP. We fully support and absolutely encourage articles and questions on this topic. Articles should be posted in the correct section by Topic, not technology, unless the technology is itself the topic. For example, an article on writing a page using PHP will go under Web Development, but will be tagged PHP. I hope this clarifies things. cheers, Chris Maunder The Code Project | Co-founder Microsoft C++ MVP
